Sustainable LEED Design

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System that is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance buildings, homes and neighborhood developments. LEED promotes a holistic approach to sustainability through site development, water savings, energy efficiency and materials selection for the benefit of our health and the environment.

Our approach to sustainable design includes:
  • Careful attention to produce a site layout that minimizes disturbances to natural amenities while focusing on enhancing the overall livability and accessibility of the improvements.
  • Utilizing natural amenities such as sunlight, shade, fresh air, rain water, plants and more in a manner that reduces costs and improves the overall performance of the development.
  • Maximizing the use of materials that are recycled, recyclable, renewable, locally available and non-toxic.
