Mike has served as a project surveyor for Baudhuin Incorporated since December of 1992. Mike’s specialties include detailed field topography utilizing GPS equipment, field staking during construction of large projects, subdivision platting, AutoCAD drafting and design and land surveying. Mike’s involvement in all aspects of a project from preliminary concept planning through final construction provides the consistency necessary for a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. Mike’s real life experience on job sites, including a nine month tour rebuilding infrastructure in Iraq, proves valuable experience for streamlining efforts to reach project goals.
Representative Experience
- HS Realty-Maritime Plaza, City of Sturgeon Bay, WI:
Project surveyor and CAD supervisor. Design and surveying efforts for the 66 lot project included road, curb, sewer, water, and storm water management measures. A grading plan was developed for the lowering of a large hill on the site to produce buildable and marketable commercial lots. - US Navy Seabees:
Duties during deployment to Iraq included managing the surveying, design and construction of a 68 acre fuel farm, reconstruction of an airport runway and conducting 15 bridge bypass surveys as well as site topography for a 40 acre development site. - Thull project, Town of Trenton, WI:
Project designer. Project involved research and verification of the exterior property limits of a 330 acre parcel. Site topography and wetland mapping was completed throughout the parcel. - Door County Monumentation:
GPS Coordinator. The ongoing survey monument maintenance program included establishing GPS coordinates for over 2000 section corners throughout the county. Baudhuin Incorporated has been trusted as the coordinator for the county monumentation program for the past 28 years. - Redmann Bluff, Door County: Project surveyor:
The Redmann Bluff development is a large scale condominium development that includes site planning and construction plans. The first phase design includes final design of approximately 1 ½ miles of roadway, two regional storm ponds, storm sewer and associated site grading. The shallow bedrock conditions necessitated a unique design which included stepping of the storm water pond into the rock layer and minimizing site blasting requirements. Final subdividing of the site will be done using a condominium plat. - Target Store, City of Sturgeon Bay, WI:
Project surveyor/designer. Duties involved with producing construction plans and obtaining local and state approvals included; site surveying, development of a site grading and storm water plan, representation at city meetings and developing bid documents for contract bidding. Field staking of all aspects of the site construction were overseen.
